At Apple’s “awe dropping” event in Cupertino, California, the company just unveiled the Apple Watch SE 3. The last version was revealed three years ago in September 2022. New features include an updated S10 chip and always-on display.
The Watch SE was also launched alongside the AirPods Pro 3 with live translation and heart rate sensing, Apple Watch Series 11 with Possible Hypertension notifications and Sleep Score, and more. The Series 11 will ship with 5G and WatchOS 26, which Apple previewed at WWDC in June. It includes a “liquid glass” interface, live translation for text messages, a redesigned Notes app for your wrist and Workout Buddy. The latter is Apple’s new AI-powered companion offering real-time motivation based on your personal metrics during certain workouts.
Starting at $249, the previous Apple Watch SE, second generation, was rectangular in design and available in 40 mm and 44mm sizes. It had an LTPO OLED Retina display, Series 8 processor, up to 18 hours of battery life and 1000 nits of brightness. Made of 100% recycled aluminum, it came in midnight, starlight and silver finishes.
