What’s on your phone, Leonardo?

**Nota do editor:** Toda semana, publico a tela inicial do celular de alguém que lê o blog. Quer participar? Preencha este formulário. Quer mais? Acesse o arquivo. Todos os links de apps levam à App Store, Play Store ou F-Droid.

### What’s your name and what do you do?

Leonardo, 40, southern Brazil, makes educational videos on the internet and has been a regular reader of the **Manual do Usuário** for years.

### Which phone and operating system do you use?

iPhone SE (2022).

### Tell us a bit about your wallpaper.

My lock screen wallpaper is a photo I took earlier this year at Piçarras beach (it has a special place in my heart because I grew up spending summers there) and I liked the colors. The “unlocked screen” wallpaper is also a photo, taken at a friend’s house surrounded by lots of greenery.

### Why is your home screen the way it is?

Practicality. I keep daily apps where I can glance at them and remember — Duolingo, Wine, Insight Timer (meditation), MFIT Personal (gym), Kindle — plus frequently used apps like Spotify, Google Maps, etc.

### What’s the deal with your widgets?

Besides calendar/agenda, I use the meditation app widget (mainly as a reminder) and recently the widget for my digital scale app because I’m trying to gain weight.

### Which apps do you use the most?

WhatsApp, of course. I also open the Wine app every day (I’m a subscriber) to take the three‑question quiz to earn R$ 1 and learn about wines, and Duolingo (math and chess)… that’s about it.

### What’s the most obscure/strange/surprising app you use and wish more people knew about?

Not strange, but one I really wish more people used is Be My Eyes, an app that connects blind or low‑vision people with volunteers who help over live video with simple visual tasks like reading labels or identifying colors. I get calls about once every three months or so — not constantly — and I always end the call with a bit of faith restored in technology.
