The Weeknd Goes East: Abel Tesfaye Snags a $55 Million Florida Mansion With Room for a Megayacht

The Weeknd, a name synonymous with synth-pop and a relentless pursuit of the perfect song, is now on the cusp of a new chapter. He’s buying his first known piece of Florida property, a sprawling mansion nestled on a unique 1.24-acre lot in the heart of Miami’s Coral Gables suburb. The deal is set to close later this month, and the modern Mediterranean-style dwelling in Miami’s Coral Gables, known for its vibrant atmosphere and stunning sunsets, has been listed for $54.9 million.
Abel Tesfaye, better known by his musical alias, The Weeknd, is buying his first known piece of Florida property, according to the Wall Street Journal. The outlet reports that the deal is set to close later this month for an unknown sum; the modern Mediterranean-style dwelling in Miami’s Coral Gables suburb was listed for $54.9 million.

Spanning almost 19,000 square feet, the eight-bedroom mansion sits on a unique 1.24-acre lot occupying a V-shaped peninsula with 574 feet of water frontage, with a dock that can accommodate a mega-yacht. Stretching to the pointed edge of the property is a 62-foot-long rectangular infinity pool adorned with mosaic tiles in swirling shapes that mimic the greenish glow of bioluminescence. Framed by palm trees, endless views of Biscayne Bay surround the estate.

The home’s interior opens with a double-height foyer centered around a futuristic cylindrical stairwell with double floating staircases curving to the upper level, where the cavernous primary suite is found, complete with a private balcony; multiple spots to lounge; an-all-white walk-in closet with integrated lighting; and a spa-like blue-and-white bathroom. On the lower level, the open-plan living spaces are wrapped in tall French doors that spill out to terraces overlooking the water, including a covered dining patio equipped with a barbecue kitchen.

Tesfaye also owns a $70 million mansion in Bel Air, California, which served as a filming location for his 2023 HBO drama The Idol. He previously owned a Hidden Hills home that he sold to Madonna in 2021 and a penthouse in LA’s Beverly West building that he sold for $19 million in 2023. Despite his luxurious real estate portfolio, the four-time Grammy-winner once told Interview, “No house has really been a home to me. For most of my career, I’ve been on the road. I really worked hard to get to touring in the stadiums, and the cost was not getting too attached to where I live or where I stay.”
