Just wanted to share a quick update on my plans for the house. I’m thinking we should definitely get a 3D scan with an iPhone or iPad to really get a feel for its surroundings. I’m really excited about the VR experience, but also a little nervous about the modeling aspect.
Okay, so I’m going to do a small cleanup, add some textures, and furniture. Let’s get this house set up in Unity 3D.

I have a model of a planned house that will be placed on a very complicated piece of land (hillside with terraces). And it will be nice to be able to walk through it in VR, but I also want to add the outside environment. It will be painful to model it even remotely, so can I perform a 3D scan with an iPhone or iPad? I don’t need to be perfect, just to be able to walk around the house and see how it will look, and be able to walk in and out.\
So I will then do just a minor cleanup, add some textures and furniture, and put it into Unity3D.
